I realized that we haven't been taking pictures of the girls lately, too much caught up in the 'what if's' to remember the present. All the pictures that have been taken the past few months have been to advertise things I've made. These aren't the greatest pictures, but oh well. They're still cute :).

A man in the house is worth two in the street.
- Mae West
Pray for us. I've been contacting a realtor about our house and, God willing, she will tell us we'll be able to sell it for enough money. The contact started fortuitously; she (a high school classmate) saw that I had joked on Facebook about selling our house and asked me about it. She seemed very encouraging about the market, and mentioned her clients were very interested in living in Petal! Maybe our first house will go for as quick as it came. I firmly believe God led us to this house, so maybe he's helping us get out of it.
Until that can happen, though, we have to get it clean and uncluttered as much as possible. That has been taking up our entire week, and it still is no where finished. I got the bright idea (doh!) to pack up non-essentials while cleaning to open the rooms and have less for Lorelei and Aly to mess up... I'm currently regretting that decision as I'm sure my parents are regretting allowing us to store so many boxes at their already box-filled abode. Oh well. I cleaned out two cabinets, microwave, and refrigerator today, yay!
These past months I've been realizing how much we'd bought on the spur of the moment that we could definitely have done without, especially this week as I've been packing it up. Matt has been selling video games we weren't playing, and today we sold quite a few baby things. I have a tendency to want to hold on to everything, because I know how helpful it was to receive so many hand me downs and I don't want to deprive siblings of objects and clothing that can go through another child or two. The thought of packing all this stuff up that we don't use/need, especially if we move out of state, is rather daunting to my hoarder spirit. So, Matt won a few rounds and we sold off things we didn't need at a friend's garage sale. Matt also got rid of quite a few of our dvds/blu-rays, I was so proud of him! :)

Contentment R Us
For my midyear resolution (what? You didn't know about mid-year resolutions? Well, hop on the bus, it's a very happening new trend. So happening, it just... happened.) I resolve to be content. No more seeing that glass half empty, being a Negative Nancy, Debbie Downer, or Big-Poopy-Head Bethany. I'm going to find the happy in situations that would normally bring out my complaining, whiny side!
For example, yesterday's me would have been quite annoyed that Lorelei has learned how to open doors, implementing her new technique at naptime instead of actually napping. I would have complained to the world at large. World! Hear ME! I am annoyed! My problems outweigh disease, hunger, and cable re-runs! Blaaaarrggh! Not today's Bethany, no no. Today, I'm looking at the bigger picture. She decides to open her door constantly for 30 minutes instead of actually napping makes her overall naptime/banishment to her bedroom 30 minutes longer. Yay!
Or how Aly has been un-potty training herself lately, deciding her bathroom floor is a better medium for this particular form of self-expression. I could complain, but no! There is a brighter side, a silver lining! Um. It's.. that...uh...
Ok, I need help on that one. Blaargh.
